01/29/2026 Trail Report
YSSA Groomer driver just finished up grooming the north loop to Middleville and back to Shelbyville. Trails are excellent with 8 to 15 inch base depending on what field you are riding. There is plenty of snow, roads are iced and snow covered. The cold temperature is allowing the drag to lay a nice flat groom.
Wayland Club is out grooming and will be working between Alto and Hilliard’s.
Slow down in the curves and stay right!!

YSSA Groomer driver just finished up grooming From Martin to Gun Lake today. Trails are excellent with 8 to 10 inch base depending on what field you are riding. Will complete the grooming north tomorrow. There is plenty of snow, roads are iced and snow covered. The cold temperature is allowing the drag to lay a nice flat groom.
Wayland Club is out grooming and will be working between Alto and Hilliard’s.

YSSA Groomer driver just finished up grooming North and is getting supper at the Shelbyville Tavern. He stated trails are open and riding is really good. The cold temperature is allowing the drag to lay a nice flat groom.

01/22/2026 Trail Report
YSSA Groomer was planning to go out on the west loop from Shelbyville today 01/22/2026. Snow was thin yet Wednesday but getting better last night and today. Groomer driver stated trail Shelbyville to Martin was good and roads has snow as well. If the wind goes down the YSSA John Deere Groomer will go out tomorrow and go from Shelbyville North. If wind and visibility is bad then the plan will be Saturday.

Trail has been groomed as of 12/15 to try to flatten it and pack it down before this weeks warmup. We are hoping the warmup doesn’t last long. The trail is in decent shape for now but expect early season conditions, some dirt and rocks showing. THINK SNOW!
Gas is available, with fast food available at the BP station Patterson and M-179, Gas and food at 142nd Dorr truck stop, Gas at Alto at 64th and M50, Gas and food at Green lake trailhead,
Gas and food across M222 from the Martin Staging Area.
