Wayland Tucker groomed to Hillards last Sunday and to Green Lake Tuesday.  Trying to Groom to Alto Today Tomorrow.  Trails are fair but the roads are plowed very thin.

Trails are open and in fair to good shape.  The YSSA Groomer groomed 01/30/2023 the north loop Shelbyville to Cherry Valley/Middleville.  The YSSA John Deere will do the west loop Shelbyville to Martin Today.  Please stay on the trail.  One rider off the trail turns into a landowner complaint and trail closure.  When this happens, West Michigan Snowmobile Clubs have to work with neighbors to try to find a re-route and urban sprawl is making this harder every year.  So if you want to keep it stay on the trail please.

It was fun while it lasted! The trails are now closed again because of the rapid warmup. One overnight in the 40’s with some wind is all it took to make a mess of our trail. Even though there is still some snow out there please stay off the trail until we get some cooler weather and more snow. Keep your fingers crossed for a quick cool down!

Trails are open with very spotty snow. Yankee Springs had the John Deere out and groomed the south loop from the Middleville/Wayland/Gun Lake intersection all the way to the Martin/Allegan/Hopkins intersection. The South loop has lots of very thin spots and a couple very rough chisel plowed fields between Martin and Gun Lake. Club members reported the trail from North of Gun Lake around the North loop to Hilliards/Hopkins area was much better riding with more snow than the south side. With the coming warmup these trails will probably only be rideable for another day or two. We are hoping it doesn’t get as warm as forecasted and we can keep some of our base but it’s not looking good. Get out and enjoy them while it lasts.

STAY ON THE TRAIL PLEASE!!
