Groomer Report
Welcome to the 2023 snowmobile season!
What happened to our snow? Will still need cold and snow for the trails, PLEASE keep up your Snow Dance!!! Our trails were rode today and are mainly in fair condition. They are far from excellent shape.
,but were rideable, but we’ll try again. We can only wish for for more cold and snow,
We have three staging areas. 1. Low Bridge – Located on the South side of M-55, just East of the Cooley Bridge.
2. Our Grooming barn- Located at 18151 Old House Rd. Go North off M-55 on Tippy Dam Rd and go East till the CENTER sign, please don’t block doors.
3. Stronach Rd. – Located on the East side of Stronach Rd. about half way South of M-55 and before Filler and the lake.
Remember our approach will be form an early system groom so the trails will have rough/thin spots. Ride Right and slow down! Think Snow!
Please watch for the groomers.
Our maps are available from our sponsors.
We have also added two sponsors to our list. They unfortunately are not located on the map due to timing.
The first is Tippy Dam Campground and Cabins. They are conveniently located at the corner of North Tippy Dam Rd. and Old House Rd., on Trail #3/6. The second one is Batcke’s Manistee River Lodge, Their store location is just West of the intersection of Seaman and Steinberg
We have identified a couple printing errors on the maps. On the South side of M-55.The Fisherman’s Headquarters is number 19 and is on M-55 just East of the Wellston box, and there are two number 22’s. The Red Neck Yacht Club is shown as number 20 on the back and is the 22 ,West of Trail 3/6 Sorry for the confusion.
We always can use additional volunteers. Working on the trails can be a very rewarding experience! Vehicle training is provided as required. We have a new Secretary on board! Her name is Tina and she and her husband own Tippy Dam Cabins and Campgrounds. Both her and her husband plan on being action in our organization. Welcome aboard!

We would like to remind riders to stay on the trails. We do have some trails that go through private properties. Recently some landowners in other parts of the state have withdrawn their permission to use their property for trails due to riders leaving the trails. One example is the trail between East Jordon and Charlevoix. We do not want that to happen here.
Thanks for your cooperation!

Our Groomer Barn, constructed in 2014 stores our groomers and other equipment. Both the barn and our two tractors and operators will aid us in keeping the trails in good shape.
