Snowmobiler Storm in Lansing!

April 19 @ 11:30 am - 1:00 pm

Save the date of April 19; MISORVA received a grant to fund a Legislative Ride that was canceled due to low snow.  The legislative committee agreed that a Snowmobiler Storm should go to Lansing and get to know the legislators that ultimately govern our recreation!  MISORVA will host a lunch for attendees and Michigan Legislators and staff!
There will be talking points and materials available to those that attend.  Even if you are not a talker, show up and be counted!  It’s that important! Be on hand to answer the questions they have.
This is an opportunity to educate your hometown Representatives and Senators about what is important to you!  While some of the current legislators have never been on snowmobiles, some are active avid riders of snowmobiles.
We must reach them all and inform them about our advancements and struggles today.
Motorized recreation brings tourism wealth to our state, and we need to help them remember that.  Without motorized recreation, we will see the beautiful canvas of our state begin to fade.  Think of the mom-and-pop stores that are your favorite go-to sometimes to see that friendly face once a year… that fuel stops you need to get from point A to point B.  This is wealth…
So please save the date of April 18 and make your way to Lansing!  Carpool and wear your best manufacturer jersey!  We want to stand out in a crown of suit jackets and ties!  Just think of the impression we could make with 100 or more snowmobilers strolling the city streets of Lansing!
Please send me an email if you are planning to attend and we will reach out to your local representation and let them know YOU will be there!  Because when you are there, they want to be there too!
Remember. If you are not at the table. You are on the menu! See you in April!
