After the January meeting, we were made aware that we were operating outside our Bylaws. The Bylaws have no provision for voting electronically.
In fact, the bylaws have no provision for a virtual meeting at all! This was brought to light and fact-checked for accuracy. Once the facts were brought to the officers’ attention, they must be corrected immediately. While the state was under the Covid restrictions, we were within the guidelines to use the method. After the governor lifted the restriction and the extension date expired, we needed to pursue a bylaw change to continue using the hybrid and virtual formats. So, therefore, for now, meetings will be in person until at least after the Annual meeting in October.
